Carat (commonly abbreviated to “ct”) is a unit of weight used for measuring gemstones, with 1 carat equaling 0.2 grams.
While size and weight are indeed factors to determining a diamond’s value, emphasis is placed on the overall quality considering not only carat, but also color, clarity and cut (4Cs).

Color｜Color
This actually refers to a diamond’s lack of color. The less color, the higher the rarity value.
There are 23 color grades, with the colorless “D” grade being the highest, and “Z” being the lowest, dropping down through the grades as the diamond color takes on more yellow.

Clarity｜Transparency
Clarity refers to the transparency of a diamond.
The clarity grade is determined by the size, quantity, position, nature, color, etc. of natural inclusions, which exist both in the interior and exterior of a diamond, and inspected at 10x magnification. At Justin Davis Bridal, we use diamonds of the rare FL to VS grades.

Cut｜Polish
A diamond’s beauty is defined by its “sparkle” and this is drawn out through exceptional cutting skill.
There are five cut grades ranging from “Excellent” to “Poor” depending on the appropriateness of the proportions, cut (polish) and finish. Justin Davis Bridal only uses diamonds with a cut grade between 3EX and GOOD.

鑑定書は、ダイヤモンドにだけ発行されているダイヤモンドのグレーディングレポートのことです。
鑑定書には4C（重さ･色・透明度・仕上げ）の4項目について、複数の鑑定士の鑑定を受けた結果が表記されています。 ダイヤモンドの良し悪しを判断する指標にされている4C(カラット・カラー・クラリティ・カット)について基準に沿って評価し、グレードや形状などの特徴を明確化しています。ご希望のお客様には有料にてご発行致しております。
